The collections here all concern the history of Eastern Washington University (EWU), from its founding as Washington state's first normal school in 1890 to the present day.

Most of the collections gathered on this page consist of photographs, publications, and documents created by the University in its attempts to document its day-to-day actions, special events, or describe its fulfillment of its mission.

Other collections related to the history of EWU include Ceylon Kingston's letters from France during World War I, Historic Images of Cheney, and Otis Freeman's photographs of the geology of Eastern Washington.
