Description

The photo shows the north shore of Stubblefield Lake at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge in 1951. This particular area was being prepared for the planting of barley, and was one of several food plots the refuge managed. In the annual report from 1951 we can read that the barley planted at this food was utilized by migrant Canda goose.
