Description

Gauge reading of the water level at Lower Turnbull Slough at Turnbull National Wildlife refuge, Cheney, Washington, April 30, 1951. Annual reports from the refuge indicates a mild winter that year with less preceiptation than the previous year. During March and April there was a fear of a widespread drought due to the lack of rain. Fortunately at the end April rain fell and ultimately the water levels returned to a more normal level.
