Description

In view is half of the food patch east of Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge headquarters, Cheney, Washington, 1951. According to the annual report from Turnbull from this year, this food patch was plowed and harrowed in preparation for planting barley. At the time, the refuge planted barley to be a source of food for the birds passing through the refuge.
