Obituary
Gid, 27, died July 16, 1963, when the Air America C-46 he was in hit a ridge in Laos. He was working as a "Kick" dropping cargo to General Vang Pao's Hmong troops. Gid was born January 14, 1936, in Cooper Hollow, Oregon. He graduated from Dallas H.S. (Dallas, Oregon) in 1956 and apparently rookied before his senior year at Cave Junction. Gid had served in the military. He jumped at CJ-55-58, 60, and at Fairbanks 1961-63.
