Abstract
This document applied to lot 5 block 8 of the King Addition in Spokane Falls, Washington. Perry Sanders was the grantor and Harry Lenchner the grantee when the deed was filed.
Racist and exclusionary language written into the deed is:
Subject to 1946 taxes and also to the provision that no race of nationality other than the white race shall use or occupy any building on any lot, except that his covenant shall not prevent occupancy by domestic servants of a different race or nationality employed by an owner or tenant.
