Description
Manuel Cueto was a Cuban American who played a range of positions for teams across the United States including the Cincinnati Reds. According to Gilberto Garcia in his article titled "Beisboleros: Latin Americans and Baseball in the Northwest, 1914-1937" writes that Cueto was a reportedly excellent hitter and fielder, who preferred playing in American cities in the south, due to the warmer climate. This digital reproduction of a Zee Nut baseball card was created by the Eastern Washington University graphics department for a project for Dr. Gilberto Garcia on the history of Latin Americans playing baseball in the United States.
