Description

Flock of Canada geese congregating at Windmill pond at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, Cheney Washington, 1952. Windmill Pond is located right next to Turnbull headquarters, on the south side. Along the pond runs the current headquarters trail, which gravel path is visible to the right of the pond. According to the annual report from Turnbull that year, it was estimated that roughly 500 geese were using the pond at the same time
