Abstract
In this letter to his parents, Evans writes that he is expects to land in Algiers, Louisiana later in the day and that the journey from Matagorda Bay was rough. Evans writes of his surprise that he is returning to Louisiana, as he expected to be in Texas through summer. Evans then reflects fondly on his time in Texas.
