Ed, 56, died December 26, 2018, of brain cancer. After he graduated from high school, he joined his father's logging company in Idaho where he learned skills he was able to pass on to the hundreds of firefighters he trained. Ed earned a master's degree in school counseling, was a middle school teacher, coach, and had a passion for excellence. Ed jumped at Missoula 1995-97, 07-12, 14-18, Grangeville 1998-00, and McCall 2004-06.
