Obituary
Norman, 98, died March 24, 2016. He was born September 8, 1917, in Mio Michigan, grew up on a farm, and graduated from high school in Fairview, MI. When he drafted into the Civilian Public Service, he worked at three camps before reporting to CPS-103 smokejumpers during the 1945 where he made at least three fire jumps. After the war, Norman had many jobs: Shuttle driving at the Portland Airport, working a cattle ranch in Southern Oregon, and working for Haley Logging Company in Oregon. He lived in La Pine and Redmond, Oregon.
