Obituary
Paul died December 18, 2023. He was born May 8, 1946, in Grand Forks, ND, and spent the first fourteen years of his life on a farm in McCanna, ND. In 1960, he moved to the May family farm two miles north of Larimore, ND, and graduated from Larimore H.S. in May 1964. He then received his Associate Degree from North Dakota School of Forestry in Bottineau, ND, in 1966. Paul spent the summer of 1965 working on a USFS trail crew out of Grangeville, ID, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967. He spent nineteen months serving in Vietnam as a radio/wireman. Paul completed his bachelor's in Forestry from the University of Montana in the spring of 1972. In February of 1974 he began working for the State of Montana Forestry Division and remained with them for his entire 30-year forestry career. Paul jumped at Missoula 1970, 1972, and at Grangeville 1971
