Obituary
Joe, 24, died August 6, 1949, in St. Peters Hospital in Helena, Montana, as a result of burns suffered in the Mann Gulch Fire on August 5, 1949. He was born October 10, 1924, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He had three brothers and three sisters. Joe grew up in Plymouth and was a 1942 graduate of Plymouth High School. He joined the Marine Corps in August 1942, during WWII, and was discharged in October 1945. Joe jumped the 1948-49 seasons at Missoula. He is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Plymouth.
