Phil died December 30, 2005. He was born in Great Falls and moved to Boise with his family when he was 16. Phil was a man of many talents: logger, welder, auto mechanic and artist. He learned to use sewing machines as a smokejumper and later used that skill to make tents. Phil jumped out of Anchorage for the 1971 season.
