Obituary
Todd died July 25, 1999, as a result of injuries received from a fall while climbing mountains in the Blue Lake area of the Northern Cascade Mountains in Washington State. He was born on Aug. 28, 1966, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and was the son of Jerry and Kathy Stamm of Stevensville. He attended Ixonia Elementary and Oconomowoc Junior High School. In 1980 he moved with his family to Stevensville. He graduated from Stevensville High School in 1984 and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in business finance form MSU in Bozeman. Todd spent many summers fighting forest fires as a member of the Bitterroot Hotshots and later as a Missoula Smoke Jumper. In March 1994, Todd moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he was employed by OHM Corporation. At the time of his death, he was living and working in the Seattle area for OHM/IT Corporation. He was an avid outdoorsman and died doing what he loved most, hiking and photographing the wilderness. Todd is survived by his parents. Todd jumped at Missoula during the 1992 season.
