Obituary
Cookie took his last flight into the sky on March 15,1999. At the age of 72 Cookie passed away of natural causes at Colonial Manor in Whitefish Mt. ..In 1944, Cookie went to work for Johnson Flying Service as a gas attendant and then learned to fly from Dick Johnson, making his first solo flight in 1944. His favorite aircraft to fly was the DC-2. ..He continued a flying career for 40 years retiring from the U.S. Forest Service in 1985.
