Description
This letter from Women's Flying Training Program Director Jacqueline Cochran indicates that information about the program and application process are enclosed. The Women's Flying Training Program (WFTP) was established in September 1942. The Women Airforce Service Program (WASP) formed through a merger of the WFTP and the Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron (WAFS).
