Abstract
This document applied to lots 4-9 of block 14 of the King Addition in Spokane County. Gerhard Brede was the grantor when the deed was filed and Sanders Homes, Inc. the grantee.
Racist and exclusionary language written into the deed is:
Subject to 1946 taxes and also to the provision that no race of nationality other than the white race shall use or occupy any building on any lot, except that his covenant shall not prevent occupancy by domestic servants of a different race or nationality employed by an owner or tenant.
