Description
Portraits of smokejumpers from the Alaska smokejumper base. The jumpers are Orville Looper, Philip Clark, William Shears, Gideon Newton, Harold Maxwell, Glen Marlow, Richard Simons, Torcom Chorbajian, Warren Webb, Lee Lipscomb, Cecil Riffe, Duke McConnon, Thomas Greiner, Paul Sulinski, Sam Greiner, Wagtendonk, Jerry Reid, Carl Neufelder, Horace Cordova, Donald Brennan, Steven Daniels, Larry Bentley, Claude Greiner, Gene DeBRuin, Lowell King, Jim Berka, John O'Connell, Thomas Crane, Tray Kurth, Walt Vennum, Howard Forsythe, Richard Malchow, David Ames, Carl Pearson, and Mike Wheaton. The portraits were pieced together using Adobe Photoshop from portaits taken of a larger photo board delivered by Mike McMillian of the National Smokejumper Association. The arrangement of photographs may differ from the original.
