About this collection
Photographs in this collection show college students engaging in social, athletic and other group activities on or near the campus in Cheney, Washington. The collection begins with photographs from the days of the Cheney Normal School and continues through the transformation to Eastern Washington University. The photographs show students engaging in athletics as well as theatrical productions, parades, and group shots of clubs and unorganized students activities. Students are seen in times of war as well as in playful activities. Some photographs show students posed for cameras with recognizable faces turned toward the camera while other images show students actively engaged in their pursuits.
