Description
On May 5, 1970, the day after the Kent State shooting, Eastern Washington State College students organized a demonstration unsuccessfully demanding the removal of the campus' ROTC program. This photograph shows Dean of Students Daryl Hagie speaking to the demonstrators. at the entrance of Cadet Hall, which housed Eastern's ROTC program. ROTC unit head, Colonel Andy Pribnow, is visible at the entrance engaging the protesters in discussion. A student with the word "Strike" written on his t-shirt stands next to Hagie.
