Abstract
The film describes steering and maneuvering techniques, such as slipping and how to land accurately. It also describes the design of the parachute and the canopy steering slots, as well as proper let down technique and qualities of aircraft used by smokejumpers at the time of the films creation. This was digitized from a 16mm film reel donated to Eastern Washington University Libraries from Tom Carlsen via the National Smokejumper Association. The film was digitized by George Blood Audio Visual.
