Description
This issue of the Easterner includes articles about a Spokane campus class led by President Frederickson, proposed tuition increases, an Academic Senate proposal for an Intercollegiate Athletics Policy Board, a study by professor Bill Kelly on hazardous materials that run through Cheney and Spokane, Athletic Department profits from an appearance by the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, a petition regarding the EWU 2000 strategic plan, an upcoming anti-apartheid rally on campus, Eastern faculty participation in a conference in Seoul, South Korea, the environment for sororities and fraternities on campus, the Eastern's newly formed Campus Crusade for Christ chapter, an art exhibition sponsored by Anne Harder MacKenzie Wyatt, Eastern's Model UN team, a campus performance by the Spokane String Quartet, urban planning professor Suk-han Shin, the volleyball, football, and cross country seasons.
