Abstract
For some time, we've been hearing of instances in which immigrant children are faced with difficult upbringings that hinder their learning abilities. One of the specific barriers mentioned is language. This project seeks to examine the effect of several factors on the number of students who meet the SBAC ELA test. To do this, I will construct a multiple regression to examine if there are factors significantly affecting the number of students meeting ELA standards. As a result of this project, our community may be aware of growing concerns in many of our hometowns.
