Abstract
Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual advances that can be a combination of verbal or physical behaviors that are of a sexual nature. Sexual harassment can take place anywhere and to anyone. While corporate human resources officers have worked with the United States government in providing training and guidelines, like Title VII, to combat sexual harassment and other such behaviors, some factors outside of the workplace, such as America’s social hierarchy, contribute to the persistence of such behaviors. This presentation will examine those factors and the preventative measures necessary to abolish sexual harassment in the workplace.
