Description

This index for the North-West Tribune was created as part of Works Progress Administration Project number 2122 in 1938.

The North-West Tribune was published in different cities throughout its history from June 1880 - 1895 and changed titles to North-West Tribune Rural in October 1891. These cities are:

  • Colfax, Washington from June 1880-October 1880
  • Cheney, Washington from October 13, 1880 - October 1886
  • Spokane, Washington from October 1886 - 1895

The Spokane Public Library holds the physical copy from which Eastern Washington University (EWU) created a digital copy to help access EWU's holdings of the newspaper on microfilm and paper.

For a brief history of the newspaper, see The North-West Tribune, by J. Orin Oliphant, published in The Washington Historical Quarterly, Volume 16, Number 2.
