Ted died June 14, 2010. He was a member of the Triple Nickle 555th Airborne unit that trained at Pendleton, Oregon in 1945 to be smokejumpers. Ted was a boxer and twice went the distance against Rocky Marciano becoming one of the only five fighters to do so. He retired from boxing in 1955.
