Obituary
Bob, 71, died July 7, 2012, in Martin City, Montana, after a fight with lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease). He was born on Feb. 13, 1941, in Kalispell and graduated elementary school from the rural schoolhouse at Birch Grove, and high school in 1959 from Flathead County High School in Kalispell. He earned a degree in Wildlife Management from Montana State University in 1969. Bob jumped at Missoula in 1965-66 following three years of U.S. Forest Service employment, including one as a Hotshot. As an outdoorsman, he was an accomplished angler and traveled to New Zealand and Scotland to pursue the fish. Bob was a founding member of the Montana Furbearer Conservation Alliance.
