Obituary
Harry, 80, died Sept. 24, 2012, in Annandale, Virginia. He earned a degree in Forestry at the University of Idaho in 1954, as well as a U.S. Army commission. He spent his college summers working for the Forest Service and jumped from Missoula in 1951. Harry, who had joined the National Guard at age 16, was a distinguished military graduate in 1954 and was assigned to the 11th Airborne Division in Germany. He also served in Korea, Vietnam and England as well as Ft. Benning (Georgia) and Ft. Campbell (Kentucky), and was the Army's legislative liaison in Washington, D.C. Harry received military decorations including two Legion of Merit awards, a Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation medals and the Senior Parachute Badge. He was interred in Arlington National Cemetery. Harry retired from the Army in 1976. He then worked 21 years at a Horticultural center training disabled adults.
