Johnny, 67, died January 16, 1991, in Mason, Washington. He was born December 2, 1923, in Pacific Beach, Washington. He served in the Army 1943-45 during WWII and was listed as being wounded in action by an artillery shell in 1944. At the time of his enlistment, he was 18 and working in Camp 5 for the Simpson Logging Company. He jumped at North Cascades during the 1946 season.
