Ron, 64, died November 4, 2019, in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was born September 27, 1955 and was a Lawyer in the Cave Junction and Grants Pass, Oregon areas. He jumped at CJ 1978-80 and Fairbanks 1981-83. Ron was one of the Gobi jumpers to transfer to Fairbanks when the Siskiyou Smokejumper Base was closed after the 1980 season. His father was the town Doctor in Cave Junction and, over the years, treated many smokejumpers.
