Obituary
Mike died July 2, 2016, in Ogden, Utah. Mike earned his bachelor's in English Literature from the University of Virginia and his master's in Environmental Education. His job experience included Curator at the Thames Science Center (Connecticut), Field Researcher BLM (Arizona), Senior Tech. Staff Edwards AFB, Wildlife Refuge Caretaker (Oregon), teacher (Connecticut) and logger (Oregon). Mike was born in 1939 and jumped at La Grande 1976-82 where he made 111 jumps of which 48 were fire jumps. He was in his 30s when he rookied, considered old at the time.
