Ernest was born on April 24, 1928, in North Carolina. He had one brother and two sisters. He died on June 19, 1953, in North Korea at the age of 30, and was buried in Keene, New Hampshire. Ernest was a 2nd Lt. in the Army and a graduate of Keene Teachers College. He jumped at Missoula 1946-48 and 1950.
