Obituary
Bob died July 29, 2017, in Miles City, Montana. He joined the military in 1943 and was a paratrooper in the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment. Bob was a decorated trooper and survived the Battle of the Bulge. After the war he earned his degree in Forestry from Penn State. He was an avid motorcyclist and rode his Harley back and forth across the U.S. while he split time at school and jumping at Missoula from 1946-49. Bob moved to Missoula after graduation and went to work for the White Pine Sash Company until the mid-60s. He then went to work for the Montana State Forester's Office until retirement in 1979. Bob was active in scouting and was awarded a distinguished service award in 1971. Bob jumped at Missoula 1946-49 and had 12 practice, 12 fire and one rescue jump.
