Dave, 74, died March 17, 2018, after a battle with cancer. He was born February 29, 1944, in Missoula, graduated from Sentinel High School and attended the University of Montana. Dave was a pipefitter with Smurfit-Stone for 25 years. In 1980 he won the International Sled Dog Championships in the seven-dog category and competed in many competitions in the U.S. and Canada with his black labs. Dave jumped at Missoula 1964, 65, and 1967-74.
