Obituary
Curt, 66, died January 31, 2019. He became a wildland firefighter on his 18th birthday and worked his way up through the ranks of the Forest Service until he retired after 35 years in 2005 as a Fire Management Officer on the West Fork District of the Bitterroot N.F. In addition to his career in the Forest Service, he brought his passion for the outdoors to his work as a ski instructor, patroller and fly fishing guide. Curt rose to the ranks of a level three professional ski instructor and shared his passion for the sport through coaching and instructing children and adults alike. Many of his students went on to excel as alpine and freestyle competitors. Curt jumped at Missoula 1975-88.
