Obituary
Larry, 55, died August 18, 1995, of lung cancer in Cedar City, Utah. He attended Grinnell College in Iowa for two years before attending dental school at the University of Iowa. After four seasons of smokejumping, Larry continued his education and graduated with BS and MS degrees in Biology and Wildlife from Utah State University. In 1975 he completed a PhD in Natural Resources at Utah State and taught recreation for seven years at that school. From 1977 until his death, Larry was employed by the Bureau of Land Management as a recreation planner and wilderness coordinator making transportation and recreation polices for the wilderness areas of southern Utah. Larry jumped at North Cascades 1961-63 and Redmond in 1964.
