Obituary
Louis, 100, of Beatrice, NE, died June 25, 2019. He was born April 19, 1919, in Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1936. Louis was one of the few Civilian Public Service men to jump all three years (1943-45) that the CPS-103 unit was in effect. Louis spent the majority of his career expanding the dairy industry in Nebraska and Kansas. His business developed and manufactured equipment used in the dairy industry, construction projects, and lawn care equipment. He later formed Goossen Construction building single family homes. He was a lifelong member of the Mennonite Church and served on many boards in the Beatrice area. Louis was inducted into the Beatrice H.S. Hall of Fame in 2005.
