Obituary
Johnny was born November 7, 1919, in South Dakota and died May 8, 1987, at 67 year of age. He graduated from Freeman Academy and was a member of the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church. Johnny was drafted into Civilian Public Service from Marion, SD, in 1942. His occupation at the time was listed as "Farmer." He served nearly four years in the Civilian Public Service and jumped the 1945 season at Missoula. Johnny had at least three fire jumps. After the war, he started a road construction business and later did earth-hauling.
