Chet died February 20, 2006. He was born November 12, 1918, in Berne, Indiana. He was drafted into Civilian Public Service from Columbus, Ohio, in 1941 and was a member of the Mennonite faith. His occupation at the time was listed as "Salesman." Chet jumped the 1944 season at McCall and had two fire jumps in addition to his training jumps.
