Obituary
Charles, 51, died August 18, 1968, at MacDonald Pass in Montana. He was born in Dayton, Idaho, December 5, 1916 and was a student at Columbia University when he registered for the draft. Charles entered Civilian Public Service from Roundup, Montana, in 1942 and jumped at Missoula during the 1945 season. He had seven training and four fire jumps. He graduated from Roundup H.S. in 1934 and from Columbia University in 1947. Charles was first assistant to Montana Attorney General Arnold Olsen and was actively connected with the newspaper, People's Voice.
