James, a craftsman who made laying down hardwood floors into an art, passed away on the morning of January 6, 2013. Born into a Navy family, he came home to Portland to visit his grandparents and to attend the University of Oregon. Then, Jim began laying hardwood floors and later established Canemah Hardwoods. He jumped at Redmond 1976-77.
