Obituary
Dean, 71, of Idaho Falls, died Nov. 10, 2000, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1929, in Gorham, Ill., and attended elementary school in Gorham and graduated from Gorham High School. Dean attended Illinois State University for one year and then the University of Idaho, where he graduated with his bachelor' s and master' s degrees. Throughout his life he held various jobs, including the US Forest Service as a smokejumper, which was his favorite, at Boeing as a chemist, at Hercules Powder as a chemist, and at the DOE as a Senior Research Chemist for thirty years before his retirement. He served in the army during the Korean War. Forest jumped at NCSB 1954-55.
