Dave died April 18, 2010, in Pray, Montana. He was born December 9, 1939, in West Virginia. He jumped at Grangeville during the 1959-60 seasons and at Missoula during the 1961 season. Dave had a bachelor's degree in Forest Management from the University of Montana and worked for the USFS from 1958 to 1997. After that he worked as a guide for Black Otter Guide Service in Pray, Montana.
