Jim was born on April 25, 1943, in Pocatello, Idaho. He married on August 1, 1981, in Clark, Nevada. He died on January 14, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 57, and was buried in Ogden, Utah. Jim served in the Army 1962-65 and the Navy 1969-75. He jumped at McCall during the 1966 season.
