Obituary

Dave died March 25, 2024. He was born February 3, 1937, in Safford, Arizona, and graduated from Ben Lomond H.S. in Ogden, Utah. Dave then graduated from Utah State University (USU) with a degree in Range Management. Upon graduation he was commissioned into the Army and attended flight school in Alabama. His most memorable station was flying border patrol on the East-West German Border. He later became dual certified, adding helicopter pilot to his list of qualifications. When he left the military service, he returned to USU and earned a teaching certificate. Dave taught biology and math at Richfield H.S. and Roosevelt Jr. H.S. in Salt Lake. He then returned to USU earning a Ph.D. in Wildlife Management and worked for the USFS as a Wildlife Biologist. Dave concluded his career as a collaborator at the College of Natural Resources at USU. He jumped at Idaho City in 1957.
