Jim, 19, died January 28, 1961, in a skydiving accident near Mountain Green, Utah. He was born August 22, 1941, in Moscow, Idaho, and a student at the University of Idaho at that time. Death certificate reads: "Parachuted, but parachute failed to open-approximately 7,000 free fall to ground." He jumped at McCall during the 1960 season.
