Obituary
Gary, 24, died in a private airplane crash near McGrath, Alaska, June 20, 1969. He was born September 19, 1944, in San Fernando, California. He trained at Cave Junction in 1967. In the 1968 season he helped set up the jumper base in Anchorage, Alaska. During the 1969 season, Gary and Dave Ames took off from the airstrip in McGrath. Soon after takeoff they experienced engine trouble and crashed. He is buried in Newhall, California.
