Obituary
Dave passed away March 4, 2005, in Pacific City, Oregon. He graduated from Klamath Falls High School and served four years in the 82nd Airborne. Dave jumped at CJ during the 1959 season while attending his senior year at the University of Oregon. He was a man of many talents. Besides smokejumper and student, he was known as "Roundhouse Ralph" on a kids TV program from a Medford station. After his military service, he graduated from the University of Oregon in 1959 and relocated to Boston and began working for New England Life while attending night school at Suffolk University where he received his law degree in 1971. Dave returned to Oregon in 1974 and ran a private law practice in Portland and Lake Oswego until 1995.
