John, 26, died August 4, 1959, in the crash of a Ford Trimotor at the Moose Creek airstrip. He died at the Grangeville hospital of burns suffered in the fire that followed the crash. He was born July 21, 1933, in Peekskill, N.Y. and graduated from Hendrick Hudson H.S. Montrose, N.Y. in 1950. He was in the Navy 1951-54. John is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in New York. John jumped at Grangeville 1957 and 1959 and at Missoula in 1958.
